IvySys

Corporate History

Founded in 2005 by Dr. James A. DeBardelaben, IvySys Technologies, LLC has always been an innovative technology solutions and services firm. From the very start, IvySys focused on solving critical situational awareness problems for the defense, intelligence, and homeland security communities through mission-oriented ISR networking.

Under Dr. DeBardelaben's leadership as president, IvySys has become a lead technical consultant to the DARPA Strategic Technology Office and the Office of the Secretary of Defense for ISR sensor networking, robust wireless communications, and tagging, tracking, and locating (TTL) programs.

The IvySys technical staff has an extensive background in developing and managing advanced wireless communications, sensor networking, and unattended ground sensor (UGS) products and programs for US Special Operation Forces (SOF). IvySys personnel led the multi-organizational SOF Land Products Team, and were key members of the Communications Working Group for the NAVSEA FY04 Silent Hammer Limited Objective Experiment, the largest US Navy Sea Trial ever conducted.

IvySys staff members led research and development teams that designed, implemented, and fielded several clandestine wireless land mesh networks, providing Navy SEAL operators with persistent, high-data rate communications. They also developed seismic/acoustic and electro-optical unattended ground sensors (UGS), and seamlessly integrated the sensors along with COTS Blue Force Tracking technologies into unattended wireless networks for persistent ISR.

In March 2007, IvySys became a certified participant in the Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development and the Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) programs.
