Vondell L. Coleman - Vice President of Advanced System Capabilities

Vondell ColemanVondell Coleman joined IvySys Technologies, LLC in 2008 and is the Vice President of Advanced System Capabilities. Before joining the IvySys team, he spent over ten years at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) where he was a supervisor in the Engineering and Advanced Development Group within the National Security Technology Department.

During his time at APL, Vondell gained extensive experience developing real-time software for various Navy boat systems, and wireless sensors networks. He served as the lead engineer for USSOCOM Sea Eagle ACTD Spiral; developed software for the Advanced Seal Delivery System trainer; was a key engineer in the development of unattended ground sensor networks in support of the NAVSEA Giant Shadow (LOE); and led the development of the control, sensor health, and auxiliary subsystems for the Navy's Ardent towed array system. He has broad subject matter expertise in Special Operations and maritime technologies used for wireless communications, networking, and ISR.

Vondell Coleman received his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology where he was a GEM fellow, and a B.S. in Computer Science with an option in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County where he was a Meyerhoff Scholar.
